So I'm slowly working my way through Kat's armour using MoeSizzlac's 3D printer files when I have time around other projects.

Problem is it's kind of stalled out right now because the helmet doesn't fit and I don't quite have my head around re-scaling it and all the other parts of the armour that need adjusting for me (pun not intended). But I'll get to that eventually.

Pssst... Armorsmith is your friend.

Get your avatar scaled to your size, throw some armour pieces on and then use the scale factors of Armorsmith in Cura/Slic3r/Repetier/OctoPrint.

Also, if helmet sizing is giving you a headache, print some cross sections a few layers thick as a ring to check the sizing at various points. This is a good way to use up mostly empty spools and it saves you from missized parts for the most part.

Looks like it's time to butt heads against my very square body shape again. But I think I'm getting the hang of it.

Welcome to the club of fighting the realization that Spartans are seven foot tall spaghetti people and we're averaged sized people that when wearing MJOLNIR look like walking appliances. I'm a refrigerator!

It looks like you can shrink the chest piece slightly. The two pronged plate that extends below the forward facing flat panel doesn't extend to the belt. It only needs to cover down to just about your diaphragm which will bring the strapping along the sides to match along your ribs. There's also male and female variants that are slightly different scales so double check for sake of comfort ahead of time.

Yeah, it's just going to take a lot of tweaking. It just came down that low before because I'd set it to keep the original proportions from the model.

I'll also go dig out the male chest piece and see if that works better, I guess.
