Katarn Deserter Armor

I'm a huge star wars fan and the last (also my first) build was a Mandalorian Bounty hunter. I want to stay with the Mandalorian theme, but I also want a full suit of armor. Recently I read all of the Republic Commando Books and learned that there were a bunch of RCs that had left during order 66 to become mandos. So I was thinking about using Katarn Armor and making it mando-ed. Does anybody else think that this would be a good idea?

More than just asking if its a good idea, does anyone else see how it would work? transforming the clone armor into something more Beskar like?

what about the katarn armor with some of the ARC troopers. things like a pauldron, kama, custom colors, and even maybe the visor that cody has

The thing with making a RC/mando hybrid is that 'in universe' all the clones who deserted switched entirely to mando armour, so far it has not been referenced that any mixed and matched the two styles or modified clone armour. Not saying you can't/shouldn't do it, just pointing out that it hasn't been referenced occuring.

What about something like this? I do like the black better, and I did realize that all of Skirata's boys turned in their armor for beskar...
