Ok, so a friend asked my brother & I to do an m.c. armor build up for his son, age 9... i decided "cool, i'll do it, but lets make it look good & be comfy for the kid" So here is the beginnings of a urethane foam armor build.

Thanks to all for stopping by to look... the "simple task" of creating kids foam armor... is, well the complete opposite of that haha... But now feel comfortable working with the foam. I have worked with it previously in toy prototyping but not on as grand a scale. So needless to say this has been a great learning experience so far! Just to let all of you know I am working with Silpak Self Skinning Urethane Foam as well as Flexible Urethane Rubber.

Anyway its a slow process, but check back occasionally... I'm pretty excited to keep down this path, see the results-

Yeah, these are coming out sweet - I'm his bro and I'm working on the armor with him. We've just done a few more tests last night and the new "skin" is dyeing and setting up just perfect. Check back soon for a fully colored test piece. Pretty soon we should have some actual armor patterns to show.
