LastSpartan, you can see the progress and more pics of my mold here:

Halo Project

If you want anything else just let me know. The only thing I didn't get a picture of was the dividing wall I made to separate the mold into two halves. I put a large key into the top to help itself locate and it really works nicely.

I hope to have it finished and painted by next week so I put some pics up then. Thanks for the positive feedback.

I just printed off the helmet for my brother. I'll have pics posted on my Progress Thread.

I love what you are doing with the low detail model. I was intending to do the same thing for all my armour pieces and put in detail into the body filler.

Finished one up less the visor but I am shipping it to my bro so he can use it on Halloween. I'll have another finished next weekend and I'll put some additional pic's up then.

Finished up some rough armor for my son and still need to add black areas to the armor and helmet. I also have a gold visor that I need to cut and mount for photo's, he doesn't like the amber but I think the amber will work better in the dark. My son acts like a bad a** when he puts the armor on and wants to go to the playground and beat up the local bully. He is really funny when he gets on the gear and walks just like MC. Overall the suit fits him well.

Happy Halloween

Pure awesome... complete win. I just wish a 9 year old daughter was into Halo.

Kid Armor

I know you are almost done, but I was just going to show you where a person had done the same thing for a storm trooper. Foam Kid Armor... check a little farther down the page in the center collum, you'll see the links and description.

Again, great job.

Since this is some bada** kid armor he has every right to be. Who else his age has a suit like that? I wish I had costumes like that when I was young. lol

I really wanted some great Stromtrooper armor too as a small kid, but my parents said that I would grow out of it in about 2 months.

Here is a pic of the Helmet my brother is working on for our kids Halloween costume. This started as the "test" helmet pep model, then he glass'd it and bondo'd it. I can't remember what the scale he ended up with but he test fit the pep on his 8 yr old and thought it was good. He still has a little work on the back side, smoothing etc...

It's not perfect like some of the other helms on here but our kids think it looks awesome and that is really all that matters. He is hoping to make mold and pull some parts before the end of the month.

To make the costume easier to move around in - we have been thinking about making the body peices out of foam that we will shape or maybe use a combination of foam and cardboard peices. They get to wear their costumes to school, so that comfort/ability to move around is an important issue. Who wouldn't want to wear a Halo MC suit to school?

I hope the pic attached correctly :)
luky little kids...hey im a kid a small one...:)

I don't typically bump a topic, but this was epic for me... If I had the son to build this for I would have done so. Any update on the build?

Ok final shots and ready for the next few days. We will start with Boo at the zoo, then trick or treat on the square and finally the traditional halloween night activities. My son if really excited as am I. I changed out the amber lens for the gold one and put the details on the armor. Mounded a switch for the lights and with the exception of the voice amp I am calling this one done. Next project will be for me, 7 ft elite suit. I'll post pics as I progress. Thanks for all the support.

Wow... that is probably the best armor i have ever seen for kid armor. very impressive. i have a question though how tall is your son? he looks like 4-4 and a half in this pic and also are you planning on making the elite suit the same way? again great armor.

That looks awesome! That has to be the luckiest boy alive right now! You did really good on this. Bravo! Can't wait to see your elite.

Wow, that is one lucky kid. The best costume I ever had at around his age was probably a hand-me-down dragon costume...which is probably why I love costuming so much now; just making up for lost time.

Something tells me he's going to have a really fun time.

Great work!
