so I put together my EOD helmut and its all ready to be fiberglassed everything looks great but i have a problem the part that goes around my neck is way to big, like we are talking 6 extra inches of unneeded space, Ive tried the search button and nothing came up so i was just wondering if any one knew how to fix that without cutting into or breaking my helmut???

at the nine inch mark

Post pics please to help us out! 6inches just in one way and around....? scale to big? pics 1st, help 2nd!
Promise!

It looks like the EOD helmet does that on its own.

The jaw line extends pretty low and the neck comes up high.

Maybe you can add a neck seal thing such as that found on the mark six.

If it's 9in and 6in of unused space... That would mean... You have a 3in neck?

But remember you may need that extra space so that you can get your head in it.

Also you may add padding, maybe some electronics, (Fans, Leds, etc.)

ok slight dramatization

Im probably gonna add alot of padding and what not but for now i need to get fiberglass cloth unless you don't need it (do you need it?)

Well you'll most likely want to fiberglass resin the helmet first.

Then after that and it's dry you could fiberglass it.

When I do my helmets I put 2 layers on the outside and 1 layer on the inside, than I go ahead and fiberglass it.
