Legend Of Zelda Costuming And Armor

just an idea people told me i should do Link from Zelda.

so here goes.

i didn't like the crappy shields I've seen in person and online, so built my own.

here's my take on the Hylian Shield from Twilight Princess, and the boomerang and magical boomerang from the first game. I'll be adding bottles, sword, and random parts later on.

the brown edges will eventually be covered with 26g steel, and riveted into place. the back will be covered with black vinyl over 1/2" padding, to which i will attatch various pockets for stuff. boomerang, bow, compass, etc.

and my sword is this....

define "DELUXE"? not sure what you meant by that.

I meant rather good/excellent. (wiki says: de luxe, "of luxury" in French. The term in English has taken on "exquisite in quality and design", and is often used to label special edition products.)

i think delux means...extra bad. for example the DELUX version of this shield you can buy online is the cheaply made version.

A legendary armor helmet is "de luxe" ^^

UPDATE!!!

98% done

need to finish riveting the front and start the back......

than add the 2nd arm strap as this thing must be 10 pounds or so.
add pouches for boomerang, toys, etc....

THAN, start building the costume itself.

anyway, looking good, but maybe you could somehow get rid of the metal warping? I don't know, I'm not good at metal working... just don't rush the project!

Is that some sort of anti-Master Sword? I mean, it looks evil with the spikes coming from the handgaurd and the red gem is... different. Does Dark Link use it?
