ok look new school year is coming up and im gonna be getting some new clothes and what not, but i have been liked these type of shoes called supras the hightop kind too, but never really was pressed on gettin em.

now that the school year is close i have been finding them on sale for like $70-$109 which is good considering they are usualy $120+ , but my friend has been wanting them for a while too and now he has gotten two pairs.

i dont know now if i should get them considering the fact that no one in our area wears them but my friend and he was hoping to be fresh and unique. now i have considered getting them but letting him wear his for the first week of school so he gets credit for findin em and whatever and being the first one with em, but idk people say this is "dick riding" and i mean high school has enough drama without me being called a poser because i bought some shoes i been wanted after my friend got em and wore them first, so what should i do.

....you sound like a woman. They are just shoes dude, why does it matter if someone else has the same thing?

*sorry if that came off as harsh, i'm cranky right now*

I would get 'em anyway, but make sure they're not the same style as your friend's if you don't want to look like you're full-on copying him. I mean, who really cares? They're just shoes. Shoes are made for walking.

lol duely noted but my issue is not necissarily the shoes but it gets annoying hearing people talking about you especially over something like shoes but hey people are just that immature in high school

I'm pretty sure I know where he's coming from but, there not like how girls are. It's style and to go with your look I guess. Like around my parts are Nikes.

I don't think it's really worth spending $100 on shoes. They'd better be gold-plated!

Just go to school barefoot, or get some Converse high tops. They're usually around 40. I seriously think your friend is wasting his money.

If ya want them get him. Depending on what grade your in in really should be a non-issue. If you get in a fight over stupid things like that.... its just not a big deal imo..

i know where you coming from (well i have been out of high school for 13 years now)
you know well start getting once they see them on a person, i know high school is about finding yourself and dressing up and being stylish for school is every important
i would say go for it, change it up abit make sure there not the same color

if i can give you one piece of advice, stop caring what others think of you, be your own person and screw everyone else. i remember wht school is like, i only left a few years ago, and seriously, i never bothered with anyone elses opinion. people only say crap about you to get a reaction, if you dont care they will stop, i mean it. i know it sounds like a load but it works. if you dont have confidence in yourself, noone else will. JUST DO WHAT YOU WANT

Be yourself. Wear what you (and/or your parents) can afford. Don't worry what others say. I fit in with the jocks, the nerds, and the dope heads when I was in school just because of who I was. Don't dress to impress. People either accept you for how you are or they don't. Clothes have really never mattered to me or the people I consider my friends.

Yea man, a man's values make a man, not his material possessions. This also applies to females, with the words "male" switched out with "female".

Shoes alone do not represent who you are. Shoes are nothing without a matching set of clothes. As long as your clothes are not the same as your friend's clothes, don't worry about wearing the same shoes. ;)

id say, why do your friends determine what you buy to wear???

id say F-OFF! and get a life, to people who woudl say that.

i rememebr back in 1990 when we all had those cool air jordans with the reflective tounge. if you DIDINT have them you didnt feel cool, but no one really cared.

You think 109 dollars a pair of shoes is cheap? I wear 15 dollar shoes from kmart, and they've lasted me for more than a year and still look brand new. I'm proud to wear a shoe made in the USA, but when you go buy shoes for hundreds of dollars made in china or some other poor country, I think it's just a waste of money.

I could think of a million things better to buy $100 with, almost all of which you won't grow out of.

But if you want my opinion on the whole wearing the same shoe thing. Almost every jock in our school wears these Starbury shoes. They are all colored Orange, Blue, and White in some way, so I just think they are jumping on the bandwagon. Get some other shoes. If people keep saying they love his shoes, well he has better shoes than you.....wow.

I still think noting is cooler than just plain stuff.

Get something that is functional and not "for looks"... I own one pair of shoes (All black DC Manteca's), they costed me about $85 and they have lasted 5 years (and still goin strong). I didnt get them because that was the "cool" thing to do I got them because I knew they would last a long time, are comfortable, afforadable, and look good (at least to me).

people dont care about what shoes you have around where i live, they're just shoes

but buy something that looks nice and lasts, i have nikes and my last pair lasted my 4 years, i think they were $60-ish
