I started this week doing the folding for the pepakura template, and finally it's done, now ill research some info in the forums to put fiber on it

First things first, did you use letter paper. Second, you use scotch tape... NONO. Get cardstock and use hot glue. - Ice

The thing will fall apart when resining and fiberglassing, it's like soaking it on water, the tape will come off.

Also, I don't think that this piece is supposed to come out, but on the contrary, inward.

It's ok to use tape if you plan on spending a lot of time on smoothing but card stock is a must. When you paint all the little tape lines will show up. Your better off redoing it unless you feel like spending an extra 30 dollars or so on bondo. When gluing i wouldn't go with hot glue if your just beginning because it cools really quickly, i use Elmers white it drys relatively quickly and it gives you time to line the tab and edge up perfectly.

Good luck with your build.

i used cardstock paper (110lb), and scotch tape because glue was a total mess, also in going to use something to harden it, then put some kind of bondo until i get a smooth surface, then do a mold out of it

i may use something similar to bondo (bondo doesn't cost 30.00 unless u buy a huge pckg) , i don't think ill try bondo because it tries pretty fast and i have used it before on car body kits and for a helm maybe its not a good idea due to the amount of details
