Mix and match of a chest plate and back plate

Hey guys,
I'm working hard on my current halo armor and ran into a situation. I prefer a chest plate from one armor but a back plate of another. I'm just wondering what my fellow 405th members think about this. Is this frowned upon considering it is impossible to do in game or is it anything goes in the world of armor?
