Came back from the LA red carpet and was super motivated to start my MKII build, so here we go.
Files are from Nikko Industries. The ultimate plan is to cast this the way Off Earth has done because that is so freaking cool.
But for now this will be a bit of a speed build to be ready for Otafest Calgary.
Just about everything has been scaled and I started printing the chest piece before I remembered some of the edits I wanted to do...
I added places for magnets so this suit can be taken down and packed in bins more easily (see? I'm learning from last time!) as well as some channels for wiring LEDs etc.
Printed so far:
Chest and Ab plate:
TPU "undersuit" abs, back hips and under arms:
Back Left:
Added magnet holes. Looks like a mess but I did that on purpose because this will all be covered by the booster
Hand Plates first bit of bondo:
I've decided to experiment with Drydex for the bigger pieces, also went and picked up a big can of bondo because I'm tired of the tubes. Also seemed like a good opportunity since I printed the 2 front pieces upside down to save material, so it needs some clean up.
