My first build, Defender armor

Hey guys I'm new here and my name is Chris. I've never attempted to build Halo armor before but I decided that I wanted to give it a try because I want to start cosplaying and because I love Halo. I've decided I want to build my favorite armor which is the Defender armor. I love the look of the helmet, it reminds me of Boba Fett's helmet. Do you guys have any tips or any advice to a beginner like me on building this costume? The end result probably won't be anything amazing because its my first build but I plan to continue building armor if this one goes well. Thank you guys! I would add a picture of the blueprints of the Defender armor but the picture won't upload.

Are you doing foam or Pep? The advice I can give is keep your blades sharp, your seams clean, and always set out to make two of something. that way when you screw up, it isn't the end of the world. You can always make a better version. Good luck on the build, I look forward to seeing your progress.
