So I finally got around to ordering parts for my undersuit for the armor set I'm getting form Adam. Heres what I've got so far.

EXL-CP1 motocross jacket (yes i realise its a very bronze color, but thats not its actual color and its what Adam uses)

and these are actually an old pair of combat boots i had leftover from Navy ROTC in college. I just looked these ones up online to give a good idea what they look like.

So based on this little list, is there anything anyone can see thats missing (aside from the balaclava) or anything that could be improved?

Hrm... so that's what Adam used for his chest under armor. I went with the SixSixOne SE2 Pressure Suit w/the reinforced spine and Under Armour Heat Gear long sleeve shirt and leggings and the cheaper Blackjack gloves. A problem I quickly discovered while trooping is that the silk hood tends to slide over the day exposing your neck, get a neck seal or sew the hood to the pressure suit. Looking good sir, I think you'll enjoy that setup.

Cheers,
Kensai

Thanks Kensai. I checked out your sixsixone online and i've gotta say it looks really nice, but what'd you do about the red trim and lettering on it?

and when i do get a balaclava, do you think a neoprene neck protector made for paintball would do the trick to make sure no skins exposed?

The red all got airbrushed black when I was doing my paintjob on the suit. As far as a neck protector... I'm not sure. A definite win is to search ebay for "stormtrooper neck seal" that should provide you with decent results. I ended up sewing my balaclava to the under armour shirt I have.

I really got to say, getting Under Armour Heat Gear was a lifesaver... I didn't really feel the sweat at all with that wicking material. Also make sure to invest in a camelback to install in the backpack and run the tubing under your balaclava (I left a tiny slit open for mine). Two fans, heat gear and a camelback were lifesavers. Oh and make sure to wear the mouth guard on the balaclava.. it cuts down fogging alot. I think that covers all the real world tips I have for you for under armor.

Cheers,
Kensai

thanks for all the tips man, I'll definitely be implementing all of these once it all gets in my hands. I've already got a camel pack left over from my old Air force JROTC days in high school, and was going to look into those cooling vests Adam and others have suggested using. Seeing as the majority of my suit-wearing is going to be in the south eastern portion of Texas, it'd probably be a good idea.

Thanks again

how will you attatch the armor rig to the jacket?

ie: once you build the armor plates, will you attatch them via snaps or industrial velcro to the jacket and legs?
