Hi guys!

So it has always been my dream to make my scout armor from Halo 4, but having no access to molds or hard resin (sorry i would prefer to have a hard plastic armor lol) my dream got a glimmer of hope this morning. My Fiancé bought me the Scout Helmet! so my question is does anyone know someone that makes the resin armor that i can commission raw pieces from? thanks! pics of helmet are attached

There are definatly people that would build you a suit as a commission, but there is noone that I know of that has a complete scout armor set that has been casted and ready for selling. If you do get a commission, since you want it hard, it will most likely be pepakura. You can always make it yourself, but that will probably be time consuming and I dont know how you would want to fuss about little details, sanding, and whatnot. We are always willing to offer advice and help, but it will take some commitment.

I would say to keep searching. I personally love working with pepakura and would be interested in building you a suit. Unfortunately, I am super new here and am currently working on my own suit so I’m not really available to do it. I suspect that commissioning a suit will be very very VERY expensive. However, doing the work is fun and rewarding. Just time consuming. Read some of the pep build posts and see what you think. If you’re still looking in a year or so, hit me up I may be interested.

Depending on your budget, you could also 3D print it. It won't be as durable as good fiberglass, but it's less messy, depending on how much smoothing you want. You still might need a space to use bondo or other filler in, but you can also fill with multiple good coats of wood glue. Don't use the crafting PVA glue, that's more diluted then wood glue, meaning you'll need more layers and more glue. If you only have to fill in layer lines, you should be able to get away with some sanding and only a few coats of glue, depending on coat thickness and concentration of the glue.
