The thing im most looking forward to is the ability to copy games to the hard drive so i dont wear out my dvd drive so soon, what with games like halo 3, COD 4, Fallout 3, Far Cry 2, and soon to be Fable 2. Those are all intense games. Resource heavy as well. The Mii ripoffs are sad.

so you can copy any game onto the hard drive and never use the cd again or what?

Agreed, the wannabe miis are retarded. Why would Microsoft copy such an insignificant thing from the Wii, when it clearly looks like it's trying to be a mii, and make it appear to be new and exciting.

Well, as a prevention against going to blockbuster or netflix, renting a game, copying it and returning it, you must at least have the cd in the drive to prove you own it. Its just a way to prevent killing your DVD drive.

well for those of you who think it looks bad or preferred the old look, the old theme is still there hidden in the pop up menus and when you hit the xbox button on your controller its like a mini theme of what you used to have. I think its cool but I don't think they were ready to do this because a lot of market place items are not ready to download yet. (vista aero theme ring a bell?) well I like it just not lovin it.

It's has a ton of features that it didn't have before, like allowing players to invite multiple users to a single private chat voice conversation during game play.

I loaded H3 and it said something about being able to store games to your HDD... so I intend to go to Blockbuster and get a month pass and get as many games as possible on my 120gbHDD... good move M$ /sarcasm.

The guide button seems to buffer faster though.

You still have to have the disc in the system to play the game though...

I actually like the whole new system. Did they have to change it? No, but change is nice. And at least they had some fun with it by adding the avatars. Again, did they have to? Absolutely not. But its a fun little extra. If you don't like it, don't bother creating it.

The whole 3D aspect is more eye appealing to me, personally. Its better than a bunch of flat screens anyway.
