ODST Foam prep and paint

Realising I wasn’t going to finish (or in most cases even start) my pep armour for MCM Comic-Con at the end of May, I decided to get my old unfinished ODST armour out of the loft and try and finish that instead. So I’ve spent the last week or so sealing it with PVA, repairing any broken pieces from the loft, and then painting a base coat on it. This week I’ll be adding some detail paint work, more pictures to follow!

These are photos of the last time I wore this costume, I just about managed to get it sealed before Comic-Con, back in 2018. I also wasn’t happy with the helmet, as it was the first thing I’d made and it was far from perfect, so this time I’ll hopefully be wearing a MKVII helmet I’ve made out of pep, as long as it’s finished!

Spent a very busy day yesterday adding some orange details to the armour pieces - a bit of overspray from the primer that will need touching up with the black again, but overall I’m really happy with it

I also found some photos of the original build from about 5 years ago - it was the first thing I’d ever made, and I rushed the build in about 3 weeks before con (which is why I didn’t manage to paint it), I basically took over my MIL’s kitchen table for a month!
