Started to grind away the high spots and warped areas. Bondo is not far away!

So, after doing 2 more pulls on my former, I've realized that Lining up my frame with the box is causing problems. Namely misalignment and creating webbing. So, I've made a plan.

I'm going to add guide rails and a removable heating element made from a cannibalized toaster

It will work. Trust me

So I've started work on the visor buck. And am wandering how to proceed.

My plan was to fill the back with plaster of Paris, grind the away the paper to create deeper undercuts and then after bondo paint it with rustoleum heat resistant paint. done.

That was the plan. I am now wondering if the plaster would be, A: strong enough to sand without crumbling and, B: weather It can take the heat.

Any thoughts?

Well, I know it's been awhile but I am really taking my time to get the shape right. I am also adding a guiding system to the vacuum former and I got a random orbit sander which I now feel is essential to pep builds. Hang in there, good things are coming.
