lately ive been seeing people using colored construction paper over card stock... is there a difference or are they the same cuz i have noticed different paper soak up resin differently, which is better and cheaper.?
i use 110 LB cardstock i find its thickness to make it less flimsy when applying resin but ive only made one attempt at making armour before so just throwing my 2 cents out here
I haven't used construction paper, but I think cardstock is smoother and should hold a sharper edge better. I haven't sen anyone using construction paper, but I have seen colored cardstock (my helmet was blue cardstock for some reason).
I use colored 110lb cardstock, not colored construction paper. It's what was available at my local office supply store for cheap. I recommend NOT using construction paper. It's just not a good idea. It won't fold as well, it's not as durable, you won't be able to print on it as well, won't take the resin as well, and will have a really sucky finish. I've used construction paper for lots of stuff in the past, but this is not one of it's recommended applications.
