Lately I've been worrying about the HJC replacement visor I'm going to use in my helmet. Will I have to cut it to fit or can I kind of stick the extra part under the chin area?

It's just that I don't have a dremel (with reinforced cutting wheel) and I don't want to have to buy a $40 visor and then find that it doesn't fit. Can anyone help me?

You can cut it with an xacto knife. Just score it several times on the front and the back. Those visors are very thick and will take a lot of scoring. Let the knife do the work, or you will cut off a finger or ruin the visor. When your cuts are just about ready to punch thru, flex the 2 pieces gently a bit back and forth and listen for it to snap. Since it is curved, it may not all come off in one snap, so keep flexing (gently) and the rest should snap off. Then sand it down so you don't cut yer nose.

I found siccors worked too, I was crazy enough to try and roughly trim it, then sand it off with my dremel, my cut off wheels are broken after being used for other projects, so I could do it easily. I don't recommend using siccors though as you could crack the visor.

Also, you can leave the extra in there, it will fit fine, but just take up room inside the helmet. I'd use a plastic cutting knife or xacto knife to trim it and fit a bit better like beetle said.
