I have to say, you are the fastest, best cardstock folder/gluer on this entire forum, the way you update so quickly with so much progress, it was almost like you were a machine.

Thank you! I hope u meant that in a good way :p Well Im home now and I have re-babypowdered my things and I will sand and bondo soon! The chest is almost done now and I'll start the boots while I fiber the chest.I plan on cutting the chest in half on the arm supports so I can put it on and then I''m putting on buckles to hold them together. I'll put up a pic of wut I mean when that tiem comes tho.

no, take it as a compliment.

While i dont want to make my HD chest, im makin a scout helmet (the NZTK one)

somehow, im thinking its harder than the torso :cautious:

IM at school again rite now I decided I'm not gonna bondo and paint anything unti lthe helmet is COMPLETELY done, except for the hand playtes. I'm going to finish the glove first for bondo practice and then the helmet. I will fiber everything as I make (the chest, boots, and biceps (comingout in a few days from robogen)). Anway the chest needs like 4 more pieces that I tried to finish before almost missing my bus. I'm going to do the boots and then the biceps.

OK OK OK!The chest is finally done, struts and all! I'm going to start the boots and I'm going to staert fibergin the chest soon and play halo 3 and maybe do some homework before bed. I was planning on going to the mvies, but the road conditions are terible (snow). Anyway, pictures!!!

Very nice chest! Haha

THANK you. Btw. If this stuff turns out not nearly as good as like Spase or Adam or Sigma, keep in mind I am only 15 and am not granted craftmanship skills like they are. I am just a teenager who was looking at hilarious masterchief cardboard suits on google when I saw the link to Adam's vid on youtube and had a vision. A vision to have my own suit. Anyway, I'm not going to add any LEDs or anything until everything is done and ready to upgrade :)

OK the chest has been fibered on the outside. THe bad thing about being in -20degrees celisus is how thick the resin turns
Its so hard to apply it :( It shou;ld be +6 on sunday tho, so I'll do some bonod/sanding/painitng then :)

Jesus thats cold! It hasn't been that cold here since......EVER!!!

Great job on the body so far it's way better than my first set of armor. :p Its sorta broken now... :cautious:

Keep up the good work and and pray for that +6.

Dam yer really? its -20.... how much catalyst did you use? come move where i am 40+ every day :-D .5g of gatalyst per 100g haha.

maybe you should have tried fiberglassing the inside? you'll lose alot of detail on the model if you do the outside :-(
every piece doesnt have to be fiberglassed, just the majority. for the bits that are small like the bumpbs on the back I just resined mine like 3 times over on the outside and its stiff as.

just remember if its that cold the fiberglsas should be clear if its set not a hazy kinda red/brown else its not set and you'r gonna be getting wet resin oozing out when you sand it

Oops i meant resin i didnt fiberglass the chest yet just resin and yup no-no for the outside when it comes to the actual fibercloth! And i meant celsius not fahrenheit :S :)

Robogenisis is coming out with an HD bicep. You can download the basic files. They're pretty much the same, they just don't have detail.

Hey guys I'm done one boot (the pepping) and im about to start the second. Ill put up pics once theyre fiberglassed. -> 11:27 am

EDIT -> 6:54

Ok earlier I finished second boot which makes all teh HD pep files done :) Anways, I just have to finish each piece which I give 10 days to do and prolly the HD biceps will comeout so I can work on those :) Time to study for my science quest (half quiz half test) and math quiz on all of last years concepts! :(

MY NEXT 2 WEEK ARMOR CONSTRUCTIN PLAN!

OK well I am at school today and I am very exctied. I am now ready to completely finish the hand plates and sand the helmet. What I am going to do is go home, sand the hand plates, bondo one, sand the helmet, sand trhe bondoed hand plate, bondo the other, detail the first hand plate and then do the same for the second. THis shold take a period of 2 uhours with breaks in between for drying time. After this, I will primer the hand plates, spray them black thenspray them green (possibly two coats) then spray on random splotches of balck and spread the paint around using an old wool something. I will then wait till my first visor comes before I bondo the helmet so I can bondo according to the fittability of the visor. Meanwhile, I will finish up the boots and chest plate with the resining andd fiberclothing and once the first visor comes, I will finish the helmet bondoing and painting. AFter this, when the second vsior comes, my other pieced should be ready for the sanding bondoing and sanding/detailing. I will then cut the design out of the 1st visor, crazy glue it on the 2nd and insert it with crazy glue into my helm.THen, i will possibly drill holes int o the helmet for the LEds if I decide to add them at this stage. Finally, once all the piece are done, i will put the boot pieces onto new shoes after cutting off the soles. I will spray the soles black and put them on the bottom of the boots. Also, somewhere in between, I will ut the cvhest piece into two pieces which will be buckled together to be able to put on. I will put velcro on the gloves and hand plates and use a black elastic loop to help keep the hand plate in place. This should all take 2 weeksish.

THE 1st visor has come! Any tips on how to work on it to fit my helmet?

HEY GUYS! Thought I'd put up some new pics as I haven't put up any in the last while!

Yes, but I much ratehr would have had you reply about my hand plates :(

your hand plates are pep right? for some reason they looked molded (witch you could say is a good thing about them)
also one thing i thing might help them out (paint wise) would be to add "sharp" lines to the edges. ((i guess ou could call it weathering)

good work
