Pepakura help

I made a model in sketchup and it is solid.

though once I place it in designer it shows up almost entirely red.

Anyone know a way to fix this?

Try clicking "Join Isolated edges". It should join most/all of them.
If that doesn't work, post some pics so we can see the problem (although you discribed it fine).

Ok join edges didn't work, so i am posting pics.

first is in sketchup with the second in pepakura.

I suggest that in Sketchup, right-button click on the faces that intersect and select "Intersect with Model." After that, go inside the model and delete the faces and then the edges so that when you open the kmz file in pepakura, the open edges will go away.

The edges in the model arent connected, they are separate, in sketch up you will need to edit the model.

The model in sketchup is one solid piece and hollow. I started with a bunch of intersecting rings and got rid of the faces and such within the model to make it solid and hollow.

I am including a pic of the model in "clear" view.
