my question is how do you guys attach the boots to your shoes?

Is that my ODST helmet? Because I'm the one who made the pepakura files for the helmet, looks good btw!

Looks nice, well scaled and put together. Do you plan to detail it after fiberglassing?

Don't you mean Sniper made em? ;)

Sorry man, just had to yank your chain. He beat you by 2 months, though his stuff got so buried and he disappeared that I had to rehost some files so people could get at it.

That reminds me, I need to go see if I still have those H1 files for the marine lying around...

Ah I never knew they were rehosted, thats why I redid everything from the ingame models (halo 2 models)

Still though, same game model, same pep model ;p

Lookin good. From what I gather though, the PEP part is easy (theres only one way you can fold the stuff). Its everything after that can ruin your armor. Resin can warp if not done right, and bondo needs to be applied correctly for smooth look. I haven't reached those parts yet so Im not 100% sure. Only thing I have left to PEP is my torso so I'll let you know!

Pepakura can fold 2 ways, not one, mountain fold, and valley fold, and many people do screw up on the folding part because they rush, some people dont even follow gluing the right number to the right tabs....pep takes patience ;p

I guess what i was trying to say is there is only one right way to do it. But I see what you're saying. Either way they look good.

Any yes it takes patience....especially the robo handplates that have a ton of tedious cuts and folds.

yes i was going to try and detail it but i'm not going to work with bondo...so i'm not sure exactly how much i can do.

i have all my mjolnir mark VI armor (H2) ready to glass i'm jst making this misc. stuff because i have alot of time on my hands and beause it's kool.

if you want to see everything that i'v made go here go through all the pics to see everything.

btw i don't know where to get airsoft guns but if anyone has a pep file for a p90 that would be great. it doesn't have to be incredibly detailed.

thanks

Some people buy cheap walmart boots and pretty much glue them on. They become perm. attached.

sweet thanks...thats what i was going to buy a cheap pair of shoes or boots and rivet the bottom of the armor to the shoes, would that work?

can someone please post a pic of their boots so i might be able to come up with a good i dea on how i can attach my boots to my shoes.

Straps and velcro.

Strap the ankle piece to the back of the lower leg, velcro the ends it can be taken on and off. Strap the front piece to the ankle piece ontop on the inside of the boot on the top area. That will stay on, but clank around, if you want a direct grip, get a black pair of velcro shoes, put them on, then place industrial strength sticky back velcro onto the shoes, then put the other side of the velcro on the boot inside.
