Heh, thanks. I wanted this suit to look like it'd seen lots of action, kinda like the main character of the 'We Are ODST' trailer at the end. The part I'm most happy about is the mud splattering, as I kinda like to think a grenade went off near this guy, and blew mud chunks all over him.

Heyo! One last major update, as my con is tomorrow. So, the suit is basically done at this point, since the painting has been nearly completed and everything is attached and ready to go. I'm only planning on maybe throwing on some attachments to the suit such as a pouch to hold my phone and wallet, but besides that? This suit is ready, and I'm super happy because of the journey that I'd undertaken back in mid-April has finally come to fruition, and tomorrow I'll get to show off my gear at Denver Comic Con. I am thinking about adding more to this suit such as Sean's Knife and Backpack kits in the future, as well as a mirrored visor (The one Sean had sent me as the free 'defect' was too small to be screwed in, so I had to tape it in) to make the style of the suit more... detailed I suppose? Haha, it's hard to put into words.

But lemme give you all a quick synopsis of what I did to finish this gear. The helmet visor was taken out, the helmet itself sanded in order to accommodate the visor better, and reattached with a liner of tape. The body armor was painted with a few different spatters of blue to make it look like my ODST had recently stomped in an unfortunate Grunt's head, which I'd like to think turned out well. Other than that, I secured the shoulders to foam knee pads to make them easy to put on by riveting them to the pads. It's actually funny- I had to use household items as larger washers, such as a key, in order to make sure the shoulders wouldn't come off. It's actually kinda funny to look in the pad and see a key (Or so I like to think).

Anyhow, thank you all for taking a look today at this update, and I hope to have more to show in the future!

you might want to get a black scarf or cloth or get a balaclava to conceal your neck. Looks great. good luck at the con.

Balaclava is en route, along with a some BDU clothes to replace my Thermals, however I doubt they'll be here until after Day 1 of Comic Con, so I may need to go sans neck cover for just that day.

Kinda an awkward time to Photodump here, but here's a decent portion of what happened at Denver Comic Con. Had a blast all three days, even though I sweated like a dog. My grandmother was kind enough to snap all these photos on my behalf, my brother withholding the rest on his phone (Including me next to a full fledged T-60 from Fallout!!). The event was a blast, and I loved taking photos with others- Although I think the Unicorn riding Deadpool takes the cake. You all may notice the fact that not a single person in these photos has a firearm prop of any sort- This being due to a last second (As in, day of) deceleration that Denver Comic Con would not allow any firearm props, pushing the rules listed online out of the way, which caught many cosplayers for Halo, Gears of War, and Overwatch especially off guard since there was no prior warning. I didn't even know about it until the official checking props confiscated my Magnum prop and explained that the rule had been put in place that day, something those who I'd spoken to had commonly griped about.

For the full time I'd been there Friday, I'd simply posed like I was ready to duke it out in a fistfight, but Saturday I'd ended up purchasing an Energy Sword (Which appears in a number of photos) so I'd have a prop in photographs, since it was only guns being banned. It was... A bittersweet compromise, for a lack of better term, that I would have a prop to pose with, but not one I particularly cared for, as well as the fact that we never see in game ODSTs even wield swords- but, I digress. Despite that, I still had a great time, meeting a plethora of cosplayers that will undoubtedly inspire my next suit, be it Halo or otherwise. I was ecstatic to go with my family who'd been in state since I was taking them, and I even met one of my followers on my main social media site in person- Even though I hadn't found out it was her until after Comic Con was over, haha. I'd like to say a quick thanks to everyone who'd taken a brief look at this page, and I do want to say that I intend to do more to this suit to customize it and make it my own- Even though for now I'll be on a hiatus from working on it so I can funnel time and effort into non-cosplay things.
