Poor Man's Plasma Grenade?

So while debating over some El Tape for crafting a plasma grenade, I start searching for LED spheres, balls, etc... and came across this.

Anyone ever pick up one of these? Thinking of buying a few and sticking some magnets on 'em to attach them to my suit.

Another option is to pep the nade and rig a makeshift smoke bomb or dry ice fog to vent out of the ridges and have some leds that activate at the same time. That would give a more game accurate plasma blob look.

That and some detail paint and you are good to go. I may have to get one to try it out.

that is a perfect sticky grenade! I was planning on just buying a set of racket balls and adding some detail paint, but those are awesome! Wonder how bright they get in daylight?

Maybe you could even apply some sort of adhesive to it and actually make it sticky! Just a thought, but yeah, this is a very good idea!

If I were you (because this looks really neat and I might just do this) just buy the ball and use a latex based paint to avoid cracking and chipping, and just had paint on everything else. Shouldn't be too hard.

And adding an adhesive isn't a good idea. If would just get filthy and look nasty.

I think this is what NovemberAdam got for his son's grunt costume. Looks pretty similar anyway.
