So i have my helmet pep'd and resin'd inside and out, now i need to bondo the outside. I've read some people like to spray paint it first to better see the high spots and low spots since it will be one solid color. Obviously the best choices would be a light color (white) with a gloss finish in order to best see how smooth it is. However my question is should i use paint, primer, paint + primer, or what? Last thing i want to do is have the thinner in the spray can ruin my helmet after making it this far so i figured id take two seconds to post here and make sure it's ok. Thanks!

Do an initial bondo coat first, sand it and then hit it with primer to see where you need to do more work.

I used a gray paint+primer in one on mine
