Psp Help?

Well, I got a PSP from a flea market, and it works fine, except for when I put in a UMD.

The motor and the laser work, it just shows the loading icon until it gives up and

displays " The disk cannot be read ".

I did see something about it here, but I've gotten no response from the guy

"I've repaired several UMD drives before where the problem was due to the lubricant drying into the white paste. In those cases, the PSP would actually try reading the disc for a little while before giving an error..."

and that's exactly my problem except for the white paste.

Help?

Get a screenshot of the sticker with the serial number under the battery, making sure ALL the words are legible. I MIGHT be able to help you.

this is exactly why i have a problem with second hand items if you buy it new then if it stuffs up you get another one (within the warrenty) thats very unfortunate is it the fat or slim psp jthe chance are if it's the more chunky one then it should be easier to fix (if you know what you are doing) ONLY BUY FROM TRUSTED PEOPLE!!!

Re checked everything, and found out the PSP boots up super, ungodly slow with a UMD in it, so I ordered a new UMD drive.

Should solve my problems, hopefully.
