.... I feel like you are trying to welcome me into a community I've been a part of for years.... I'm not sure how I feel about this ;).

Haha, I've been playing for roughly the last ten years. I never had an original xbox, but one of my buddies did, and we'd play halo ce all the time.

The earliest I can remember is I played Halo: CE about 1 week after it was released back in 2001 at a friends house. He was all like "You are going to love this game!" and forced me to play co-op with him. The thing that really sold me on the game, and it's going to sound very strange, was the warthog driving mechanics. I loved the fact that you could jump it, roll it, flip it, and crush enemies with it. We must have played The Cartographer level like 40 times in one day. Sadly, I never owned an original X-box so that was about the only time I ever got to play it. We did end up beating it through co-op though, and I wouldn't touch another Halo game until 2006 when I got invited to a Halo 2 LAN party in a hay barn way out in the boonies......yep a LAN in a hay barn lol

I've been playing since Halo: Combat Evolved. It was the first game I got on the XBOX that came with Jet Set Radio and Sega GT 2002. My brother and I played the heck out of Co-Op and tons and tons and tons of blood gulch. It was one of the first games we played till the end and beat over and over and over again. I have very fond memories of my Halo days. I don't play near as much as I did (I'm too busy making armor!) but I basically grew up with Chief :)

Any one else get goosebumps when they hear the theme music? It really brings me back!

Played a lot of CE at my neighbors house for a couple years, then finally moved on to the PC version when it was released. Dial-up FTW! I had my own Xbox, but I never had Xbox Live so I didn't get too much into Halo 2. To this day I have yet to beat it.

I've attended every midnight release and played every major Halo game (3, ODST, Reach, 4) religiously ever since.

Same here. My friend had the Mjolnir Mix on a playlist in his car the other day and it instantly took me back.

I started at the beginning with Halo CE. It was life changing, haha. Been with the series ever since. Even met my husband on Halo 3 :love

Well I am happy to be here, and if anyone has some info on a super cheap and super detailed way to build ODST armor then please let me know

I started with Halo 2 at a friend's house roughly 6 or 7 years ago. Only did a bit of co-op. The first Halo game I ever bought was ODST, maybe 3 years later.
I loved 3 and Reach though. The best Halo games, in my opinion. :)

I played the original halo when it first came out and have been a fan of the game since. I pretty much spent my teen years on xbox live playing halo 2 and 3.

Oh thanks for making me feel old!

I played the original HALO 1 on the PC god knows how long ago. Then got very sad for the other HALOs only being on XBOX so I never played any, until last year I finally got a 360 and played the entire series bar HALO 2.

Now very much tempted to get an XBOX one and replay the whole series again :)

I played since Halo CE on the original XBox (and all versions following after). I still continue to play on the HMCC and I eagerly await Halo 5....

Has anyone here heard of project freelancer?
I'm assuming you're referring to Red vs Blue? Or is this part of the Halo lore?

As for myself, I started with Halo 3 back in 2007, and then moved backwards with the games playing alongside my brother. :cool

Well if you happen to have watched project freelancer which was before Red vs Blue then you should know about the so called Insurrection that freelancers fight, and that the insurrection is actually the UNSC and the freelancers are misguided by the director. Project freelancer was meant to test new Spartan Tec like armor abilities. Project freelancer and Red vs Blue actually are a big part in the Halo universe, project freelancer was commissioned around the time reach fell, and Red vs blue accurse around the time of halo CE and halo 2

I started late. I got an xbox in 2010 and halo reach was my first game. I loved it so much and became so enthralled in the universe that before long I owned a copy of all the games and had read all of the books. once I learned what I was missing one of the things I thought about was making a halo costume, but that didn't become a reality until recently.

This isn't the right place for this, but RvB (including Project Freelancer) is not Halo canon. It's an alternate universe inspired by and based on Halo itself.
