Hello guys!

Last night, I downloaded a torrent of Rebuild of Evangelion: You Are (Not) Alone 1.0 and I was very impressed. It was great, and also different than the show in many ways.
The animation is amazing a lot of the time. Plus the CGI during certain parts was mind blowing considering you're used to animation that is over twelve years old.

The story in parts in extremely different from the show itself. For instance, Misato takes Shinji down to terminal Dogma before the battle with Ramiel, meaning that she must know about what's down there (I won't say what's down there because I don't want to ruin it for anybody).

Unfortunately, the sound in the torrent that was released is only par, and a lot of the night scenes appeared all black. I think that is was just the uploader though. (One torrent has been going around so it's all the same, plus Veoh, Youtube, and Aol Video all have it on their sites subbed.)

If you were a fan (Or still is a fan) of the show, it's worth a watch.
Just felt like sharing this because I was really bored.

I recommend an age of 15-16+ (I sure hope that this shouldn't be a problem because this is a forum about an M-Rated game...)

P.S. No, I'm not a geek who sits in his room all day surrounded by anime girl figurines and WoW stuff, only leaving his room to be fed by his mom. This is a common misconception of Anime fans. :p

Finally It's SUBBED MWAHAHAHA! Man, I've been waiting to do that since June.

My room is filled with armor parts, a couple pictures of my gf, books, and Alphonse. Truthfully I always thought the girl figurines were a bit much (However mecha model kits are Cool in limited numbers). I think there's a big difference between a person who likes anime and a full blown Otaku.

Very Tasteful. I have an apartment so it's kind of cramped and barely big enough to make armor in.

Miyazaki fan much? Yeah the type of anime figurines I was thinking of would be more like THIS

Actually, it is an entire new take at the series. My God people, I wish I could have stuff like that!
In my house (Still livin at home through school...), everybody thinks that Anime is weird and evil (Like they think that all anime is full of girls with quad D cups who get naked....) so I have to hide my obsession. :(

I still can't wait for part two! Asuka is my all time favorite Anime character (Horo from Wolf and Spice comes in a close second...) and I can't wait to see her kick some booty in Unit 02! (You are (Not) Alone take place from episodes 1-7-excluded is the Jet-Alone-)

I actually loved the ending of End of Evangelion. Many people interpret it in many different ways. Some see it as Asuka opening up to Shinji And I mean it was bound to happen if this is the case. Asuka had been hiding behind a false image of herself for ten years. She locked up her emotions and her true feelings, they had to come out at one time. But hey, you can't really blame her. She found her mother hanging from the celing along with a doll her mother thought was Asuka. That would be enough to traumitize anybody! (To support this, during Instrumentality, Asuka says "You won't even hold me!" to Shinji.), while others think it is a hell that Shinji created for himself because he thought he wasn't worthy of anything. But I just love EoE in general. Unit 02 DESTROYED the MP Evas.
If you want, I could offer some good, I'm afraid to say it in fear of sounding like too much of a geek... fanfiction... that wraps up EoE very good. Though most of the stuff out there is crap, there are some exceedingly good ones that actualy had mangas made out of them. (P.S. Family hates fanficion too so I have to 'sneak' that also...)

Also, I think that the movies are intended more for those who watched the show. They skip over many things, but the animation makes up for that! :) But seriously speaking to anybody who is thinking about watching this and has not seen the series and EoE, wacth the series up to episode 24 (Stop at 25) and watch EoE. Then watch episodes 25-26 for something different.

Next year I am taking Japanese 1010, so maybe by the time the third and fourth one come out (They intend to release on the same day) I can fly over to Japan and watch it myself! (I was stuck taking ASL, American Sign Language, last year. It wasn't bad but I would have rather taken Japanese...)

Evangelion really is a masterpiece though. :)

I have a quick question if anyone knows. Why are they calling Lilith the 2nd angel? She was supposed to be the 1st right, and I haven't heard anybody mention Adam yet. But they make it sound like he is the 3rd because they called the first one Eva fought the 4th.

Maybe they bumped humans to 1 instead of 18?

Looks like Kawaru is also going to play a much more expanded role this time around...

Lilith is the Second Angel. However, I think that the fansubs are wrong.

Sachiel IS the third angel. He is followed by Shamshell and Ramiel (I really liked what they did with Ramiel in Rebuild...) They might have changed it though. If that is the case, then we may be in for an entirely new experience! Also, how did you like it?

THe sixth Angel is Gagiel
The Seventh is Israfel (I loved Asuka and Shinji's synch training! :p)
Asuka Defeats the eight angel Sandalphon using, thermal expantion ;)
Matariel is the ninth angel and comes when somebody (Never named in the series but may be named in the next movie) cuts off power from Tokyo-3.
Sahaquiel (I call him the Kamikazi Angel :p) was the tenth
Ireul is the eleventh
Leliel (One of my favorite episodes) was the twelth.
Bardiel was the 13t Poor Touji. He lucked out in the anime. In the manga Unit 01 kills him...
Zeruel is the 14th angel. I personally think this is the coolest battle (Besides when Asuka and the MP Evas in EoE)
Areal is the 15th angel and the angel I hate the most. Damn her for raping Asuka's mind...
Armisael is the 16th angel And was the angel that killed Rei II
Tabris was the 17, but most of you knw him is Kaworu Nagisa
Then Lilim is the 18th angel Mankind itself.

Wow, I just posted all of that information from memory. Man, maybe I know too much about this show... nah!

If you have anymore questions I can answer them, guarantee it. Also I don't think they bumped Lilim to number one. Lilim was born of Adam and Lilith, so Adam and Lilith must come first.

I loved it, but what can I say it's the first anime I saw where I went "Finally, a more believable mecha with the ground support it needs!" Most shows don't take into account what a huge resource drain something like that would be.

I thought that was really where the show shined compared to the old series, the infrastructure was so much better represented with the buildings and everything.

Ramiel, AKA the diamond of doom, was even better portrayed in the movie than the old show because I thought they made it seem so much more alive. You just have to love the radical designs of the Angels anyway. They're so unique from each other.

One thing I don't get is that in the TV series, Adam was the cause of Second Impact. This time around they're pegging it on Lilith?

No, Adam still is the cause of the Second Impact. In the First Impact, Lilith supposedly usurped Adam as the progenitor of life on and trapped Adam in antarctica. When second impact happened, Adam was released (By us stupid humans of course) and sorta wreaked havoc on our earth by blowing up. Lilith was found inside of the black moon (The Geo-front) after the Second Impact. It is not clear what her role in Instrumentality is though or how she even got there. Which ever angel instigates third impact will merge with her and become a supreme being. NERV and SEELE however want to initiate Third Impact themselves so they may become a supreme being. SEELE and NERV plan on using Adam to initiate their own version of the Third Impact that will destroy all AT fields (Basically our bodies) and merge all souls into a giant sea of LCL.

Lilith is one of the biggest mysteries of the series and there is no confirmed information about her. But one thing is for sure is that Adam did start the Second Impact. Misato makes that clear.

P.S. Calling an Evangelion a mecha is insulting it! :p They're living beings ya know! But ignore me when I say stuff like that, it just shows my nasty case of fanboy-ism.
