Recon Helmet In Progress

Well I know it's been awhile and you guys have wondered what I've done with my novel. Well the truth is, I've been thinking of new ideas for it, but anyways while I was working on my novel I was also working on my helmet! (It's been sitting in my garage for who knows how long 3 weeks?) Don't worry I have pictures to please you guys. But on the other hand I don't have pictures of the glassing because it isn't done yet... "SURPRISE". lol.

Recon helmet isn't very hard to pep is it i also think fiberglassing it shouldn't to hard either. Only think i might think is hard to the recon is all the detail. You are off to a good start tho

I've fiberglassed and resined the helmet. The fiberglassing didn't turn out so well. It turned out that I didn't use enough resin while applying the fiberglass to the helmet. But it shouldn't be too much of a problem.. just need to strengthen those areas more though. I'll post pictures soon.

Edit: Soon is basically now ROFL. Just uploaded 5 minutes ago/.

Nicely done my friend. My friend did the same helmet and the preping took a while but in the end it will look amazing.

No, lol it was made out of index-like paper that I found in my drawers... I'm not sure if it's cardstock or not but it works well and is sturdy. Might be cardstock...

I had to cut a bigger hole for my head because once I fiberglassed it the helmet wouldn't fit my head anymore. But it shouldn't be too much of a problem since it can't be seen.
