Red Spartan Color

Hey guys, my friend and I are both making spartan armor (which has been made easy thanks to these incredibly helpful forums) for halloween and were doing the whole Red vs. Blue shtick. I've learned all the steps and am currently working on the lower half of my body but I was just wondering what a good specific color would be for a red spartan.

I'd use a metallic candy apple red, but that's just me, although it would look sweet...
