Hey since DFW texas has been starting to boom with members some of us have been thinking it would be a good thing to get a thread up and running to see who exactly is here as well! So if you live in the Dallas Fort worth area reply to this thread with a little introduction and post a photo of your armor! (in the case of you not having armor reply with what you plan to do/make)

DFW here. More specifically, Fort worth

From the DFW area more specifically Rockwall. Im going to be starting on my armor next week! Can’t wait to get more involved in this community!

Hey Everyone, I’m Malachi!
Excited to introduce myself here! I’m a prop and costume maker who does this for fun—and maybe a little obsession. I was born in Hawaii, spent most of my life moving around the U.S., and eventually made my way to Dallas, Texas with my wife and our two crazy pups.

I stumbled into the 405th back at the Houston Discovery Outpost, completely unaware that a Halo build community even existed. Before that, I was literally using Halo Forge to get reference photos for my first build (rookie move, I know).

When I’m not covered in foam dust or paint, I’m:
• Building props & costumes for fun
• Touring Texas’ Top 50 BBQ joints (passport stamps & all!)
• Trying not to get wrecked in racquetball by my wife
• Expanding our ever-growing LEGO city

Great to see so many members from the DFW area! To help us all get to know the person behind the helmet, feel free to share a little more about yourself along with your armor (or future plans).

Here are a few fun prompts to get started:
- What got you into the hobby?
- What’s your dream build or current project?
- Do you have a favorite convention experience or video game moment?
- What other fandoms or hobbies are you into?
- Fun fact about yourself outside of armor design & cosplay?

Looking forward to seeing all the introductions and builds of our incredible members in DFW!!

Dude I know you’ve been sharing about your previous builds, but I don’t think I’ve seen these pictures before. Man you’ve got to pull these out at our next con!!!
If only it was that worth it anymore. None of my suits are being shown anymore cause they are MIA.

Hang in there! Repairs can be frustrating, but every fix gets you one step closer to getting back out there. Take it one piece at a time, and dont be afraid to step away for a bit if you need a fresh perspective. You got this!also how did you get away with getting that prop down to the waterway??! And with no crowds?
Did you end up having to wake up at 5am?

They are MIA meaning they ain't around anymore and so I don't have the means to repair them at all.
