Rubies is in it to make a profit, of course it's going to suck. They're going for the most gain for the least pain... which obviously means making a badly proportioned helmet and not molding most of the suit.

As for the member's costume being sold... probably. It's just as likely that it's a scam as well, with images stolen from the forums here...

yes thats someone from the 405th its not stolen images etc. if i memberd right, its sad to see it go though he didnt want the thread bumped in teh classifieds. just search through it. it takes you straight to the ebay link if i memberd right i was checking it out a few days ago though. its a nice set id buy it if i had cash in a heart beat

yeah..... Ive seen at least 3 rubies threads now today I brought this up awhile ago in fact I was probably the first since I got to see it before it was released and the second one is nightmare armor, and you can play paintball in it there is a video somewheres on youtube

i'll clear the air before the mods, to save them trouble.

that rubies armor set is the cheap mass produced version of their legendary version, which is also crap. Seriously, they are in it for the money, not quality.

The other set is....i think an Nightmare Armor set, yes, check the classifieds, i think there was a thread a bit ago about it.

just so everyone knows, rubies sells 3 different kinds of armor sets. Check their website, though you will find that microsoft is a bunch of sell-outs. not like anyone is just finding this out, right?

i just wanted to say that helmet looks funny on the side where the visor is, it has like a gap and the rest is clothed kinds wierd

It's like they started to make things somewhat 3d, then just got lazy and colored in the cloth with armor.

Though rubies armor sucks, that is a "basic" set.

The deluxe set looks sorta decent, but skinny chief looking.

I think those gauntlets dont look to bad, of course Ima noob and am lower than dirt and bow to all of you non noobs....I want to see this one in the stores and get a real look at it, their pictures always look 100 x better than actual product. if rubies made porn, it would be with sexless action figures and be in an undistiguishable language,thats how bad they suck...

Yes, we've all covered how bad Rubie's armor is in countless past thread. There's no need to make a new thread.

The other is a suit of NAS armor. He may or may not be a forum member. There were a few NAS suits in the classifieds recently. It may be that member trying to sell it on Ebay as well as the classifieds.

Anyway, I agree with you about the gauntlets. They actually, to me, looks pretty good from the photo's I've seen online, but then again - they're just photos. However I would rather just make my own than spend thirty bucks a pop not knowing how they would look in REAL life, haha.

see, i dont have a big problem with the arms and legs, its just the chest and helmet that really bother me. They look very badly made, so i dont know how people could get it. they must not be 405th members.

I basically told them it sucked to there face at a costume convention, thats exaggerating a little... well I told them it was poor quality and the design was off and pointed out a few spots out, the guy gave me a look as if "what the heck do you know about making costumes", and gave me a good crusty, don't worry I didn't say anything about the 405th or even being associated.

I think these arms are only half arms? .Also I think you can only look thru the center of the visor(Look at the helmet part of the picture)
