Well, I was making an ODST helmet, and I thought it would be too small, so I didn't scale it. After 4 days of hard work and staying up till 3 AM, it turns the gosh darn helmet is too big. 
I worked so long and hard on that thing. I have super glue all over my finger tips, and I spent 8 dollars on the glue and 6 dollars on the cardstock.
My life sucks.
Anyway, for anyone who doesn't think scaling is important... IT IS!
