Sealing Pep Builds?

Is that like puzzle glue? The stuff you put on it to seal it tighter? How durable would it be? I don't want to use it if the armor breaks when I fall or sit down.

I know that when I went to Star Wars Celebration 4 they had a flyer saying that you had to be able to sit down on the shuttle bus while wearing your stormtrooper or other armor. I think that I did she some people that could. I surely don't want to be standing all day or have to take something off just to sit down. I have flat feet and all that walking would make me tired. I would have to sit. I am sure with the fiberglass and bondo you could sit down. I will probably figure something out when I get to the stage of the project.

That would be something that could be done. I just don't want something to break after spending all that time folding, glueing, and whatever else I have to do to it to make it look and work well.

I have heard that some people make the belt/cod piece easily removable for sitting and restroom.

He's doing an Ironman I think. I doubt you'd get away with sitting on your fiberglass armor with filler on the outside. The glass and filler will flex differently (fiberglass flexes 180deg filler 360 deg) if you cast your armor after with solid glass or smoothcast backed with matt you would def be able to sit in it.

Thanks Finhead. :) I didn't think about that. I did think about the smooth cast though. I have been watching your thread and the progress of your Iron Man armor and it looks amazing. How did you get it to look like that? I looks like plastic or something like that. Really professional. You could work for prop departments in Hollywood.

I am doing Iron Man right now. I am almost done with the helmet and starting on the neck this weekend. Just thinking ahead. I like to have everything I need so that I can get it done as soon as I can without having to wait to get something to finish. Next will be Stormtrooper Armor. I have wanted Stormtrooper Armor for years and just have not had the money to but it. I am practically drooling over the idea. I do have plans on doing Halo soon after though.
