ShockWaves Replicate Prop of (Andrew Cooks Halo 5 Forerunner Vanquish LMG)

So im trying to create a new gun to go with a new paint job i did on my armor. I follow DFT - Andrew Cook on youtube because he makes some great quality gun props and more. One gun i loved particularly was his creation of the Vanquish. It's supposed to be his version of the Saw gun for the forerunners. I obviously am not skilled enough to make one and detailed as him but i'll give it my best shot. here's what i came up with so far. Hope you guys like it.

I agree. He's made some amazing stuff it was hard to choose which one of his props I wanted to try and make. I've already made some errors on the paint job, spray painting outside when the weather wasn't right. Plus with the heat some of the detail pieces started undoing because the hot glue wasn't holding.... So I've got some fixing to do before I post another photo.

Just a quick update, was having trouble with some of the thin foam pieces bending in the Florida heat. Found an alternative for adding extra details to keep the foam down and add a little more depth to it.

Plus the piece of the front scope that was supposed to be hovering... Decided to have it attached to the gun itself. Just thought it looked a little better that way.

Ok so with some minor changes to the gun i was finally able to paint the darn thing. The paint details are different from what DFT did to his. I wanted to go for a more worn out look so with some gray, brown and metallic i was able to finish painting. Only thing left is to add the floating pieces and i will be 100% done. Took some indoor and outdoor shots so you can see how it looks with both types of lighting. Personally i prefer the indoor pics, it hides all the imperfections haha.

Hide what imperfections? I think it looks great inside and outside. Are you going to have any glowing or light up parts on it? That would look so epic on that gun.

Maybe with my next gun build i might add some lighting. For this one i probably won't since i already have everything put together.
