Show Off Thread Gears Of War Figure Base/wall Plaque

I made this Gears of War figure base/wall plaque for my cousins son
for Christmas.
It was a test for a bigger one that will be used as a wall plaque display
for the Amazon.co Lancer rifle
I think it looks a lot better with the black wash added

thats awsome and did u do anything to the lancer casue it looks cooler than normal nice work and whats it made of

Thanks guys, The lancer is the same as it was when I pulled it out of the box nothing was done to it

The wall plaque started as a black and white print out.
I then removed all of the white paper with a razor knife
to make a stencil, sprayed the white side of the stencil
with elmers spray glue.

Then applied this stencil to a sheet of styrofoam
sprayed over the top of the stencil with black spray paint.
The paint etches or melts the foam where there is no stencil
Then used a hot wire foam cutter to shape the outside edge

I then waited about day for the paint to dry
then painted over the whole thing with sculpt-or-coat
this seals and forms a barrier on the foam.

After that was dry I made a silicone rubber mold
added the base color to the surface of the mold
and made the resin cast. After the resin cured
the base coat was bonded to the surface of the plaque
then did the black wash
