Props Sliced Files and Database?

Hi guys, just 2 things I quickly wanted to talk about. First off, sliced files. So slice files are a bunch of layers and I just would like to ask what everyone recommends to use for materials? Also about the database. What's this about requesting permission to get access to the files? I use to be able to access it, but not anymore.

It depends on how thick the slices are. If they are 3mm slices (1/8"), then most people use cardboard that they resin. I've seen some who use 3mm sintra or styrene. There are also a few who use foamies for their slices.
