Jesus! It's been awhile. I remember when I spent all my time here last year in prep for Halloween 2014. Whew, it's kinda overwhelming.
Anyways, I planned to have a H4 Master Chief armor set by Halloween 2014, but alas, I couldn't make the deadline.
Reasons:
-Trouble with forming the helmet
-Detail, detail, detail!
-VERY late shipment of 1/4 in. Foam mats from China
-Ran out of paint
-flexibility of the snaps and the foam armor pieces made the suit cumbersome, and some of the foam pieces were extremely rigid (leg pieces is the main component of this problem)
Ever since then, I forgotten about it and lived my life normally. Although, I was extremely disappointed in not being able to have a chief costume. However, I would like to see it finished, wanting to have the ability to say: I have a detailed, great Master Chief costume. Be jealous.
But this is where I need your inputs men! My armor pieces weren't as detailed as I would like and I'd love some help on the helmet.
I'll post pics of all armor pieces soon enough (hopefully by tomorrow) and hopefully you guys can give great feedback. I also need major help with the helmet layouts, the helmet being one of the things that really kicked my ass.
Thanks guys, I know I'll have something great since I have time on my side.
PS: I was and still am free handing this thing, no pepakura.
four reasons:
-The software where they let you have the pep files adjust to your measurements cost money, money I don't have
-The software itself was being bollocks and I couldn't even install the trial
-I did not have a printer and the special paper material needed to get the templates at desired structures
-It just seemed way too complex haha
