Spartan MK VI --> Take 2 :) - very pic heavy

quite some time ago i started my first MKVI pepped suit.
One thing and another , work and a fire in the neighbours shed ( which was next to ours :angry ) i needed to start again .
Though not a bad thing as i learned quite alot from the forums and various questions that i asked .
Along with getting things done better on the pep side of things . learn from mistakes and improve
This summer i decided to start a fresh and below is where i am now with quite a bit more in progress to come
Would of completed much more or even all but only getting a few hrs a week at the moment

Using one of serial kill3rs helmet casts i see how things are looking so far with the chest piece

progress i know is slow , its just finding the time but have the full weekend to do something this week though there aint any rush , just came back from visiting the inlaws in Scotland so all go this weekend .

Normally I'd start off with a heads up about double posting, but this stuff you're posting is pure gold. You're definitely off to a great start, can't wait to see more. The helmet I'm seeing in the latest pictures, is that the cast from the start or is that your own pepped helmet? I love the work you put into the torso too, I'm very impressed.

Just a heads up: Double posting can be avoided by pressing the "Edit" button from your previous post, I'm not 100% sure on the rules on double posting here but I know people generally say not to do it, as it can be seen as a way of boosting your posts to access different parts of the site, or to bump your thread to gain attention. I'm sure neither of these are your intentions, you probably just didn't know or hit the char/image limit. Either way, you know for sure now.

Keep up the fantastic work man, I'll be watching this thread.

Latest pics are my own slightly larger helmet and still in the detailing stage although i don't think there is too much to do on that now and that should be done by the end of the weekend. The earlier ones are one of Cereal Killl3rs casts , though i will be casting the pieces i finish

All work so far is from the last few months as non of my original build was worth saving but this but did give me the oportunity to start a fresh and learn from a few mistakes i originally made

The torso , is getting there , but again i dont think there is actually too much to do there either . Did actually split the piece , done quite a lot of work and wasnt happy with the split so i rejoined and resplit the torso and now im fairly happy ...

pieces always look soo much different with a coat of primer

Hey man. Nice work. I am really thinking in building a suit real soon but I am kinda put off by building the helmet. it looks really hard.
Can I ask where did you buy the helmet from? as you mentioned 'serial kill3rs' I did a search and I can't find anything on here. I am also from the UK and I am new here so I am just looking for advise. Nice to see another UK builder. I shall be watching this thread

It's all looking wonderful. You've definitely got the skills! I'm glad to have another Halo 3 Mk VI entering the mix. Keep it up!

And don't sweat the double post, so long as there are a number of updates (in my own thread, the first ten posts are me, but that was intentional). There is a 15 picture limit per post, so there's no way you'd get all those pictures into one post anyway.

First my mistake , it should of read Cereal Killl3r , he has a awesome and inspiring build on here with a hive of infomation , video tutorials and techniques
Give the helmet a try , . It looks daunting but its a great feeling when everything starts to take shape , stick with it , take your time and check out the forum for as much info and help you need . Always people on hand to help with any problems you may have or come across. dont be afraid to ask and the search button is also your friend
You will probably find your own ways of accomplishing your build and detailing . A method that suits you . I learned a great deal from my first build attempt and putting what ive learned on here in to my current build

Thanks for the compliment on the build realy is coming together now , just hope the end result is as good as your own as well as many other great builds past and present on the forum

Oh, there's no picture limit for a thread, just for a post. The website will not let you physically post more than 15 pictures in one post (used to be 4). So, when you have a lot of pictures (which is a GOOD thing) you have to attach them to more than one post. So, no big deal.
