ok, I think I'm safe. In the new episode (episode 17) of Red vs. Blue released Monday 10-01-2012 there is a "flashback" like scene where a girl appears to be wearing the 405th insignia on her hat. Can anyone confirm?

I don't think the actress is personally affiliated with the 405th. Her name is Lindsey and she's a friend of some of the Rooster Teeth members. She participated in a number of the Pajamacheivements videos (http://ah.roosterteeth.com/archive/?id=726&v=more) a few years back. Burnie Burns (the primary RvB writer) mentioned her involvement during a recent RT podcast.

My take on it...the 405th cap is a very cool nod from one Halo community to another.
