When I saw this posted on AICN the other day my heart sank.

Stan Winston has quite literally shaped our dreams. And he was a large influence on the look of Halo, referencing Aliens.

Plus he put together the Halo 3 "Believe" diorama.

Terminator, Aliens, Predator, Jurassic Park, AI and so many more. He will be missed.

This is such a shame, another great artist gone.

I have looked up to the man since I was ten, inspiring me to get into the art and fx creation field along with Jim Henson.

His movie and creature effects were amazing , bringing new advances in puppetry and animatronics to the industry.

I really hope this doesn't hurt his company or any others involved.
