The bottom of the helmet is printing now. I will post once the print is finished.

Looks good! Are you printing in one color, and eventually painting afterwards or just printing in three colors?

Now I need to build a vacuum form setup for the visor... anyone have good tutorials?
N8’s done a very in depth tutorial on how he did his visors

Progress so far! Sanding and Visor forming will be done this weekend I hope

OH SHOOT! Is that Glow in the dark PLA!? Thats awesome, I've never seen that done before!

Helmet looks amazing too! I cant wait to see it finished!

Glow in the dark filament? That is so radical, haven't seen that before!
GOTD is abrasive. Generally you want to run it with all steel hardware from nozzle to gears. I wouldn't have run it through an AMS with all plastic hardware.

The vacuum forming frame is started. It took a little longer to get this part moving. I will finish the vacuum box and stand tomorrow. With any luck, I will have my first visor cut on Sunday.
Word of caution: Make sure the plastic you use is PETG. Emphasis on the G. I tried regular PET - it discolored during heat up and didn't stretch very well. Something about the G version makes it stay clear, and maintain thickness for a more sturdy visor.

That helmet is AWESOME and I can't wait to see the final product.

I tried printing in PETG, but it was too thick. I did use PETG for the buck though.
