Hello! I bought a Teishin Raikou 3d printed helmet a couple of weeks ago from Alpha to Zeta Industries akaBucs37DK, and it had arrived late last night. I gotta say, I absolutely love it. It came in 12 pieces (as requested) and now I have to work on putting it together. The challenge is, I have no clue what to use as an adhesive. I've been reading up on the different glues but have not been able to figure out which one is the strongest adhesive. I've got loctite super glue gel and Loctite Flexible Adhesive, but I'm not sure If either one will hold it together. I heard that people are using baby powder, welding, and using a 3d print pen to weld parts together. I'm brand new to 3d print parts, so I'm not sure what steps to take. So far I've learned that I need to glue the parts, use some sort of filler, lots of sanding, detail, more sanding, and paint it; but that's about it. If you know what is the best adhesive for the parts please let me know. I'm going to start by sanding some of the edges, so the edges match up.
(sorry for the bad quality photo, I'm going to take some better ones later)

Happy it got there safe and sound! When we put together our 3d parts we use the following products:
https://www.amazon.com/Bob-Smith-In...8&qid=1517527285&sr=8-6&keywords=2+part+epoxy
https://www.amazon.com/Loctite-4014...F8&qid=1517527335&sr=1-1&keywords=loctite+401
https://www.amazon.com/Bob-Smith-In...527354&sr=1-1&keywords=super+glue+accelerator

We mix the epoxy and put that on the main contact are of the part. Then line the border with loctite 401. Press both parts together with a clamp if you got one. Then hit it with the accerlator. The instantly dried super glue will then hold the part together while the epoxy cures.
Once the primary assembly is complete we mix baby powder and super glue to fill seems. Take the mixture and fill as appropriate. Once you have it filled, hit it with accelerator then sand smooth.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for letting me know, I'll start working on it in the morning probably! And thank you so much for the helmet, I love it!

Happy to hear it! If you need any more help please dont hesitate to ask.

Does the super glue have to be specifically Loctite 404, or can Loctite super glue gel work?
Any super glue should work, we have just had an excellent experience with Loctite 401. Little goes a long way and it holds spectacularly.

Finally got the chance to get some pictures of it put together. I put a coat of primer over it so it's easier to see in the photos (reducing glare). I also was able to buy some decals and a visor for my helmet when waiting for my helmet to print. I've started to do some sanding already, and getting the painters tape on some boomco weapons also. I bought some Loctite Go2 glue to use as a replacement for Loctite 401 glue, hopefully it'll work out as a filler. I wasn't able to align the back correctly, due to it sliding when it was hardening. I'm still happy with how it's turning out.
