The Darkness

I hope I'm putting this in the right place, if not please feel free to tell me where it goes.

It's been awhile since I've posted anything on here, mostly been busy with work. I'd like to share my build of the Darkness from Top Cow comics.

I started out with a green lantern halloween costume as a base

From there I added foam for detail

Once the foam was glued to the base I covered all that with some under armor

Then slowly started painting and adding more detail to the front

and the back

detail on the boots before paint

and one of the gloves unpainted

the mask was sculpted from super sculpey and cast in fiberglass

really happy with how that turned out

redid the paint on the suit because I wasn't satisfied with the color on the first try

a really bad shot of me testing it all out before the con

That is some awesome work there. What are you going to do the back spikes out of?

Oh, and good job scoring a picture with Alyssa Farrington... I've been costuming for three years, and have yet to even see her at a D*Con or SW Celebration...

I decided not to go with back spikes because I didn't want anything to snap off while moving through the crowd at the con. Maybe next year I'll figure something out that can be put on for photoshoots only or something.
