I enjoy difficulty and I like to test my skills no matter how hard the task.Did I understand that your just eyeballing everything for this build? Not using templates seems super hard...
I also didn’t eye ball the helmet that was a silicone cast of a 3D print but everything thing else is eyeballingDid I understand that your just eyeballing everything for this build? Not using templates seems super hard...
I'm going to attempt the same with my build but I'm gonna start with the files accurate to game as best I can. From what I have been looking at it shouldn't hinder mobility too terribly. My bigger worry is the armor staying attached while running and whatnot. Also, the armor is going to be a bit off from the game because this a mobility type build, so it's going to be as close as possible to the game, but the armor has to let me run at full speed and crouch and do push ups like a real suit.
that's why I'm full freehanding and testing every individual piece at a time like right not I'm going to be working on the chest piece and i have to make the decision to either use a foam made vest for looks or an airsoft vest for mobility.I'm going to attempt the same with my build but I'm gonna start with the files accurate to game as best I can. also are you talking about the files that the 405th have or some other files?I'm going to attempt the same with my build but I'm gonna start with the files accurate to game as best I can. Yes, I am using the files from the armory. So far they gave been pretty good. I'm also doing pep rather than foam.also are you talking about the files that the 405th have or some other files?
oh ok, yeah I just saw the helmet you have it looks good, also props to you for using pep I can never get it that durrible hence why i use foam and why im free handing it instead of using the templates because i need mobility for running and durribility for other stuipid stuff, the template just seemed like it had too many parts to worry about getting dented or destroyed.Yes, I am using the files from the armory. yeah, it's great I can't wait to get working this weekend on how to employ this to more reasonable type materials. this is going to be even more fun than before because of the high amounts of detail I now have.YES! I was going to tell you the info in it is super helpful for figuring out the mobility aspect. I have been reading it and it talks about how the armor is connected to allow for bending in the knees (for example) and similar stuff like that. I also found that a lot of pieces I thought were hard were actually soft which will help with mobility. It made tier 3 really hard to reach, but it also answered a lot of questions!
boy was I wrong I've been looking over the images on the pdf for almost a week now and I've decided for that I'm going to use the templates on the 405th form and just adjust and reinforce them for my self, I tried and I failed to make this on my own, but I know my limits and in the end, I just want to be an ODSTso I've decided to make a leather with cloth sewed to its upper bodysuit for the upper torso for durability and mobility. woooooo i have to do more prototyping, but I digress this will be fun no matter what
You can do it!I just want to be an ODST
You can do it!
