Sounds like a good plan. What materials are you working with, and what files? As you scale up to 1:1 armor for you to wear, the qualities and traits of the material are going to change. So if something gives you trouble in this stage, be patient, work through it, and don't let it get to you. I've lost many projects due to frustration, and something as cool and costly as metal Halo armor isn't something you want that to happen to.
