Hey everyone, i figured out an easy way to detail non-HD parts and i thought id share it with you.
After looking at the part i had to detail i was thinking "Man, how the heck am i going to do that without spending hours on it." so what i did was this thinking "whats the worst that can happen if it fails?" :

(Fig.1) - I drew out the part i had to detail
(Fig.2) - Then i took an old CD cover and traced the part i had to detai,
then cut it out with a dremel.
(Fig.3) - I placed the cut out peice on the place i had to detail,
i put a little bit of hot glue under to hold it in place
(Fig.4) - bondo, then sand. (i did a sloppy job on the bondo eH? :p , it was like 3:30AM)
(Fig.5) - after i sanded it to the plastic, i carefully pryed off the plastic peice.
(Fig.6) - this is what it looked like when it was all done!

this is just more of a tip than a tutorial, I hope this helps out!
it saved ME a headache, thats what really counts!

(Its a MOZ MarkV shoulder if anyone wants to know)

That is a neat idea, I wonder if instead of removing the plastic, you could have removed the material behind it and use the CD case as the lense to integrate LEDs. That way the case is molded flush with the surface and can light up.
