Hi guys. First, sorry for my english, I´m spanish so that is not my native language.

I want to start with my last (and finished) cosplay. Tony Stark´s repulsor:

But, maybe, I should begin with the Arc reactor. Sadly, I didn´t take much pics of the process, but it´s enought simple to describe.

Basically, I create a design with AutoCAD for the lines I should cut. I printed it in a A4 sticker, sticked it in a jar lid and cutted it with a cutter:

I created also a template to stick in plastic (acetate) to create some dark design inside the reactor (that will be explained later)

The problem with leds is the extreme brightness just directly over it. I solve the problem using wax from a candle. Partially filling the jar lid, inserting the acetate and adding more wax you can disperse the light. Several acetate sheet gives more resistance to fracture (but can create air bubbles)

After that, just creating a LED card and placing in the lid, you obtain your ARC Reactor:

Now, the repulsor:

My first step was take some measures, using the standard way: Stopping DVD player in the exact moment :D I found the second when the dimensions of Robert Downey`s arm was exactly as mine. Using a notebook and some plasticboard create a sketch and a prototipe:

Again with AutoCAD, I create a model to test the dimensions and mobility of the articulation:

Now, using 2024 aluminium I cutted the pieces and putted it together:

Now, after 8 hours of hard work and adding some useless hardware and lights:

Here opened, because I add an openig system:

Hope you like it!!!

And some pics from Salon del Manga de Jerez (a manga convention):

As you can see, that is not the arc reactor I posted before. That´s because I created two different designs: MK-2 and MK-3... I´ll explain the reason later :p

And, here the reason for two reactors... that was a group cosplay!! He is the future Tony Stark that came to the past to warn me about something important: ¡¡DON´T GET MARRIED, OR YOU´LL LOOK LIKE ME!! :D:D:D:D

This is really cool! And the fact that you actually look quite a bit like tony stark really makes the thing beliveable! Good job!
