Trying Epoxy Clay for Pepakura Helmet

in this section i want to try something with epoxy clay to make pepakura helmet hard enough
the technique just like bondo, coat it in the inner surface then let it cure

why i'm using epoxy clay ?
because i just bough epoxy clay and i don't know what for it loool
and the i try use it for my pepakura helmet that was built 4 year ago hahaha

here my current pepakura helmet 4 year ago

i'm try to wear it, cut some back piece so that my head can come in and it was too tiny for my head

i don't belive that feeling when i wear it, then i trying match it with my mkV B armor

damn i'm confusing ha ha ha

and now for my current progress
before use epoxy clay it beter for me to coat it on the outer surface with surfacer paint since i don't want see paper got some dirt on it
and my workplace is always got dust everyday after i clean it ha ha ha

(oops...... too much surfacer)

i leave the inside with no surfacer since this is the work point

this clay has 2 dough material inside the clay and hardener
use 1:1 ratio then mix it well

the pink one is a clay and grey one is it hardener


now for inner surface

since it' hard to whole dough stick to inner paper first thing you need is to clean the inner surface and spray some water
this step is to make the dough easy to stick on the paper surface

aaahh.... i'm sorry that's just my cam, it got dirt inside the lens, dunno why

now it's been a while since i wrote my last here
my grandma got hospitalized for her lungs back then so i must be with her for almost 3 weeks to take care of her

oke now i'll update my works but still it's half way trough

a week after i'm home i got the way around my papercraft helmet since it's hard with complex surface i got idea how to deal with the dough
here the step by step

first make the clay dough like before


then take some dough, not much, make it ball

use pipe to roll the dough until it thin enough and not break apart

then next step like before spray some water on paper surface (don't broke it) then stick the douh on it

repeat the step and it'll done

i let it dry first, because this part of paper got wet so it danger to stick more dough
