Not to be impolite, but I figured we could use a higher quality Army of Two .PDO. I have never played Army of Two, I just really liked the design. Forgive me if I messed up any details.

Edit: Adding all my progress to the first post:

Built.

And a Rios build, about 90% done. Please give me any pointers on this one, so I can get it right.

Now the Rios final!

Download Here.

Just a note, I sort of botched the unfold job... It'll probably try to get you to assemble it inside out.

No problem man, I built one of the earlier versions and the sides dont go near the ears, but Iam finishing it.

I'll make this one, I love the army of 2 masks.

Building a AoT mask would so easier with clay.

Just get a mannequin and put some clay on it, you wouldn't need a lot.

A. Not many mannequins in my area
B. celluclay rules over regular clay IMO
C. Its easier IMO to make these then resin/ coat it in celluclay (which I did with my first one).

You could.

What I'm saying is that it would be easier to clay-sculpt it than to fiberglass-bondo it IMO.

You could cast each mask out of rubber so it would be confortable.

The eyes add alot to it, in my opinion. Hard to keep it on your face without straps. I'm looking forward to fiberglassing it. "Hat Day" at my school will be pretty cool with this, if I don't finish my Master Cheif Mjolnir MkVI helmet.

The reason I'm making a PDO rather than sculpting are numerous:
1. Cardstock is cheap.
2. Fiberglass is cheap (When you already have the supplies)
3. Sculpting is not so cheap, from what I've seen thus far.
4. I can complete an entire mask out of fiberglass without leaving the comfort of my property, seeing as I already have all necessary items. And in under 5 hours, I might add.

I could go on. However, it's up to the end user as to how you should make something. Personally, I'm going to be building and using this for airsoft use, along with ANSI rated safety goggles. About 6 layers of fiberglass would be stronger than rubber or plastic used in molding, thus to be desired.

DISCLAIMER: I do not endorse using props for airsoft use, any injuries you sustain are your own fault.

Some AoT masks I have seen are ones made, and sold for Airsoft. They are built for heavy abuse, and come in various colors. They are actually rated pretty high in terms of functionality. Not to mention they look just like the game. They also have molded foam in the mask, heavy steel guage mesh in the eyes, and a 5 poit spider strapping in the back that holds it on your face. I seen these things in person too, and they are pretty redic.

yea those are cool and im not sure that adding fiberglass will allow the mask to withstand the spider web cracking that happens when shot(i tryed it) unless your far away thats wats going to happen and you will need to use something harder and more fiberglass won't work. but hey more fiberglass might work so prove me wrong

Alot of the stuff I plan on building (AOT, predator, ect.) are gunna be display items, never to be worn. No matter how indestructable one thing might say it is, I can destroy it in 5 minutes lol.

I've seen those before. I'm just more into "Do it yourself", not to mention I don't have $80+ kickin' around.

I figure a good 5-8 layers of fiberglass, some sort of smoothing agent over the top (Epoxy coating or Bondo), plus truck bed liner and/or a rubber spray coating over the top will provide sufficient cover. It would be mostly for low powered spring wars. Of course, I will be doing tests to make sure it's safe before using it. Compared to bare skin and sunglasses, I predict it will hold up pretty well.

Hey gooberz, Could you do a Rio mask? I have a file for it but the sides dont go beyond the ears and I suck with any 3d software.

Next on my list, just as soon as I find some orthographic shots of it. Seems like it'll be an easier build, because EVERYONE loves the Rios mask, it seems. Some of the smaller details like bullet impacts and cracks will be left out...

When I went to school we werent allowed masks on hat day. Not even for the halloween dance (in middle school)

Nice job I'm excited build this, I might use it for airsoft to but back it up with pieces of a trash can lid or something I know is airsoft proof, any plans on making a Rios?

Not if you plan on using it for Airsoft. They could shatter, and all those yummy glass particles would go right into your soft, unprotected eyeball. If it's just for display, I suggest not putting any glasses in the sockets, the eye holes in the game are not covered.

If you want this for Airsofting, I'd go with either safety glasses built in, or (better yet) some steel mesh over the sockets. Perfect visibility, perfect protection.
