Underarmor for Arms Race ODST

I have tried to find out what is a good underarmor for the Arms Race ODST. Some have said BDU, and some have said wet suit. Since I'm not going for the absolute perfect replication, so I'm most likely going to use the BDU. But for the armor pieces, do you need padding for it on the inside? Or should I just leave it out? Any advice or help would be appreciated.

Personally, I'm going to use subdued urban digital camo like this one:

As for the padding, it's up to you. If you're using SKG's WETA ODST setup, you probably don't have to.

As a matter of fact, I am using SKG's ODST armor. Thanks for the advice.

EDIT: If the armor piece does have some space, padding would be better right?
